Su piel y órganos internos están todavía flexibles, así como su cabello intacto, además de que todavía tiene sangre en sus venas.

¿Cómo lograron estos antiguos amortajadores lograr tal estado de preservación? ¿Encontraron por accidente o destino una receta para la vida eterna?

In the early 1970s construction workers near Changsha in central China unearthed the tomb of Xin Zhui, an aristocrat from China’s Han Dynasty. The body of Xin Zhui is arguably the best preserved ancient human ever found. It was as if she had died very recently, despite being entombed for over two millennia.
Her skin and internal organs were still soft and flexible, her hair was intact and there was still blood in her veins.
How did these ancient morticians achieve such a level of preservation? And did they, whether by accident or design, have a recipe for eternal life?

Es uno de los primeros torturados que revela públicamente a todo el mundo las prácticas del Ejército francés en Argelia a través de "La question", un libro publicado en 1958, en plena guerra de independencia. Para los argelinos, Henri Alleg es ante todo un periódico mítico, el Alger Républicain. Para el autor de este documental, Henri y sus compañeros son sobre todo la prueba de que era posible otra Argelia, una Argelia en la que todos los suyos (arabo-bereberes, pieds-noirs y judíos) habrían podido vivir juntos.

Born into an English Jewish family as Harry Salem, Alleg became a naturalized French citizen and traveled the world before moving to Algiers in the '40s. The famine, disease and miners' strikes he witnessed fed his Marxist ideas, and from 1950-55 he was editor-in-chief of the widely read (and censored) anti-colonialist daily Alger Republicain. Imprisoned and tortured by the French army, he revealed their use of torture in his book "La question," published in 1958 at the height of Algeria's war for independence. A chipper, kind-hearted, intelligent fellow, Alleg makes a wonderful documentary subject. Seen through his eyes, Algerian history comes alive in an unusual way. The current sad state of the country is viewed as a betrayal of a multi-ethnic dream.

Para este documental se utiliza la técnica "Teatro Espontáneo —la improvisación a partir de testimonios reales— emparentado con el psicodrama. Suma entonces un conductor que entrevista a los cinco, para seguir sus vidas cotidianas, y con esos elementos, los actores (del Teatro de los Elementos, ubicado en Cumanayagua, provincia de Cienfuegos), pasan a la representación, entrelazando movimientos, textos y poesía.

Living to the limit is finally the stirring story of five Cubans, Yoire Ferrer, Maria Julia Fernandez, Fernando Mederos, Kenya Leon and Carlos Borbón, who had "the courage of sharing their heart with us". For this documentary the Spontaneous Theater is used as a technique, the improvisation from real testimonies become related with psychodrama. Then add an interviewer who speaks to the five, in order to follow their daily lives, and with those elements, the actors (of the Theater of the Elements, located in Cumanayagua, province of Cienfuegos), cross to the representation, interlacing movements, texts and poetry.
