3rd International showcase and festival of short films


The University of the Californias extend an invitation to all students who are involved in related area, to participate in the 3rd short film contest “Creative Short 06” that Hill take place in Tijuana, México, May 11 & 12; from 9 A.M. to 8 PM.

Video professionals and experimented Filmmakers are invited to participate in the show casing of short films, otherwise the may not enjoy the benefits of the contest. The purpose of this contest is to encourage the creativity of young video and filmmakers, in the development of visual, narrative an audiovisual proyects.

Therefore the pre selection of the short films will take into consideration only and exclusively short films that exhibit evidence of a narrative situation, and must have been made in the year 2004 and after. This rule also applies to professional short films. The contestants that enter must follow these rules to participate.

1. Contestants must summit short films with duration of 10 minutes max. Production shall be submitted in Mini DV, DVD or VHS format original format is not important.

2. Video clips or music videos, experimental videos, documentaries and any other short films that lack the narrative qualities of a short film are prohibited.

3. The deadline for the submission of short films is May 31st of 2006.

4. The first price of the contest is yet to be defined.

5. The jury Hill be integrated by distinguish members from different universities from Tijuana and Baja California.
6. Students that participate in this contest Hill commit in sending a document that certifies their field of study.

7. The contestants that participate compromise to send their resume in Microsoft Word format with an extension of no more than a page.

8. The jury reserves the right to deliver merits to the best category, if seem fit to do.9. The contestants video and filmmakers may send their short films to the following address:
